My wife and I decided on a whim that we were going to cross the border into Washington State, and jump on the ferry from Bellingham to Lummi Island, to spend a few hours there. Just for the hell of it!
All aboard the Lummi Island Ferry!
As soon as we disembarked on the island, I had to park the car and take a few photos. The views of Mt. Baker and Glacier Peak were already blowing my mind.
We wound our way north, and then over to the west side of the island. I was really hoping to have a bite and a drink at The Willows Inn, but damnit, closed for the season!
A nice walk on Sunset Beach definitely made up for it though.
Then we kept on going south to the Marina House and Boat Launch.
And finally, to the Lummi Island Congregational. Cool looking church eh?
And then it was back to the ferry! We had to go do some wallet emptying at Bellis Fair, you know.
