A mid-morning shoot at El Capitan Meadow!
There was so much to see here. The fall colors were amazingly gorgeous! And seeing the climbers on El Capitan was pretty crazy too. I’m jealous of those climbers – I am *WAY* too clumsy for that!
I had a lot of fun towards the back of the meadow. The trees were beautiful, the sun was out, and we could create some super cool compositions with those.
I trekked a little further back into El Capitan Meadow, towards the Merced River. Definitely had some more fun playing with the sun – creating sun stars rules.
Ok, now this was WEIRD. I have never seen phenomena like this, and I honestly, I don’t even know how to describe it properly. These images were taken at the same time as the above images, but I deliberately underexposed them to accentuate whatever the hell was happening.
This is a super close-up shot of part of the mountain that is in the above photos. At first I just noticed the tree, for obvious reasons! Then I noticed what was happening in the sky. Whatever is in the sky was very visibly moving to the right, and very rapidly. Have you seen anything like this before? Can you explain it? If so, PLEASE comment below – I need an explanation of this in my life!
