Let’s take a few moments to discuss wedding photography pricing in the Vancouver area, shall we? How do you know if you’re getting a great value for your dollar?
We’ll start with the obvious – like most things in life, you get what you pay for. In the Vancouver area, your average price is probably going to run you around $3500 for a full day of coverage. (Full day meaning 8 hours)
What you want to be asking is, what exactly do you get for your money? Are you getting a simple online gallery of images, and nothing more? Are you getting an album? A second photographer? An engagement shoot? Fine art? Other bells and whistles?
This goes without saying, but if you’re looking to hire a photographer on the lower end of the budget spectrum (say, $1500), you’re likely looking at a relatively inexperienced photographer (and I’m by no means throwing shade at their innate skill level), or you’re likely not getting many deliverables, aside from an online gallery with a handful of edits.
And if you’re looking on the high end of the budget (think 10k and upwards), you’re likely receiving a luxury album, fine art as décor for your home, a much higher level of experience, and perhaps even travel. (And who doesn’t like travel, am I right?)
We offer a lot of unique offerings with our wedding packages. For example, every package, including the base package, includes a full 8 hours of coverage on your wedding day, two photographers, an album, and an engagement session. We also offer luxurious and archival quality home décor – non-glare matte metal prints, acrylic prints, and a host of other options. And the main reason you’re hiring a wedding photographer in the first place – one of a kind wedding photography that you will remember for the rest of your life! We believe in printed artwork, so while we do offer digital files, we want you to physically SEE your memories every day!
