Even though it was later in August by this point, this was probably my first CHALLENGING hike of the summer. And I thought the Grouse Grind was a slog…!
I do quite a bit of photography for the City of Maple Ridge, and they had wanted me to capture the local mountains. I’m pretty sure I’ve shot them from the ground from every possibly place in every conceivable situation, but I haven’t shot them from up high yet. So what better place to photograph the iconic Golden Ears, than from Evans Peak!
Also, I figured I may as well combine this gig with another photoshoot. This would be the perfect place to do some unique family portraits, and this kickass Mother-Daughter combo of Jenn and Elizabeth were game to spend the day on the trail with me. I love doing portraits in amazing yet OBSCURE places like this.
And YES, I do hope to do several more of these next summer. Think that might be your jam? Get in touch! 😀
