Our last photoshoot on our Yosemite National Park adventure – a Tunnel View Sunrise!
Well, not QUITE Tunnel View. Artist Point, more specifically, which is a 20-30 minute uphill hike from Tunnel View. If you want to get away from the crowds, this is definitely the way to do it. I always joke that when you’re in a national park, if you want to escape the hoards of people, then just walk 50-100 feet away from the pavement. Works like a charm!
We hiked up to Artist Point in the dark, just using our headlamps. And that’s yet another way to avoid the crowds! Plus, photographing first light on the mountains is awesome.
Lots to digest from this particular vantage point! El Capitan on the left, Half Dome way in the back, Bridal Veil Falls on the right, and finally, the mist covered Merced River at the bottom.
How cool do these clouds look?
And finally, back down to Tunnel View for a couple final sunrise photos.
