I love photographing bridal portraits and weddings at Simon Fraser University. I “did my time” there in the mid-2000s getting that oh-so-useful geography degree, so it’s somewhat fun to re-visit SFU and NOT have to worry about midterms, term papers, finals, or getting lost in the maze that is the RCB Hall.
But, SFU is amazing for photography for NON-selfish reasons like that too. The mood is always different up there, so you know quite know what you’re going to get. We got a mix of blue sky and dramatic clouds on this day, but some days you’ll get a hauntingly beautiful vibe IN the clouds, or you may get a gorgeous sunny day with mountain vistas. You can do nature inspired photos, urban inspired photos…. So much variety!
Most importantly though, is Madison not drop dead gorgeous?!
So, clearly this wasn’t a real wedding. 😉 This was a charity photoshoot that Madison put together for Rabbitats, which is a rabbit rescue society. Their mission is to safely house the large (and ever expanding) feral rabbit population in a sustainable and affordable way, and help find them forever homes. So if having a cute bunny is your jam, and you’re in the Vancouver area, definitely check them out.
