This was legitimately one of my favorite parts of our photo adventure at Yosemite National Park – Engagement photos!
We only shot for about five minutes total (and honestly, probably not even that long), and I knew in my mind the exact photos I wanted to create for these two couples. An epic environmental portrait at one of the most iconic locations in the national park system.
Tunnel View is what most people will see when they first arrive into the park. It looks deep into Yosemite Valley, and the legendary Ansel Adams took some of his most famous photos from the vista.
There is an area called Artist Point, which is about a 20-30 minute uphill hike from Tunnel View. The viewpoint itself is largely the same, but since you’re higher up, you get an even BETTER view. An additional benefit is that since Artist Point requires some effort to reach, there are no crowds. If you’ve been to Tunnel View, you know just how crazy it can be!
Such an awesome view – the world famous El Capitan on the left, Half Dome way in the back, and Bridal Veil Falls on the right. See, I told you – EPIC and ICONIC!
I’d love to photograph YOUR Yosemite engagement photos too! Interested in creating dramatic imagery like this? We LOVE to travel, especially into the wilderness! Contact us HERE to discuss!
