I first attempted to photograph Yosemite Falls from Cook’s Meadow when I was in the park at around the same time of year in 2019. It’s wasn’t even so much as a trickle. As in, I’d look to where I *thought* Yosemite Falls would be, and…. Nope. Nothing.
This year’s bomb cyclone changed that a little bit, don’t you think?
I know, they’re taken from slightly different spots, but you get the idea. Normally, Yosemite Falls is a TRICKLE (if that) in autumn!
It was seriously crazy to see the falls roaring all the way down to the gorgeous fall foliage. And the lifting storm definitely added to the drama!
