Yosemite National Park – Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias

We spent Golden Hour tonight photographing the Mariposa Grove of giant sequoias in Yosemite National Park.  These trees are insane!

The hike in was quite lovely too, especially being able to shoot the sun through these giant trees.

Check out the Grizzly Giant!   This is the oldest sequoia in Mariposa Grove, and is estimated to be around 3000 years old.

We also saw the California Tunnel Tree. She was cut in 1985 in order to allow horses with stagecoaches through. All we had to drive through it on this day was our own selves, but it seemed like a great place to hit a few flexes and enjoy a Broken Skull IPA (thanks for this, Stone Cold Steve Austin!)
