Hanging Valley Viewpoint
The Hanging Valley Viewpoint offers stunning views of El Capitan, and Bridalveil Fall. The best times to visit are early morning or late afternoon when the light plays peek-a-boo with the valley, creating magical hues. But if you’re there in peak sunlight, you can create some epic contrast in your photos!
Photography Opportunities
El Capitan: Hanging Valley Viewpoint is the perfect spot to channel your inner Ansel Adams. Here, you can capture the majestic El Capitan, a 3,000-foot granite monolith that's like nature's skyscraper. The meadow offers a flat, open space for those perfect landscape shots, and if you're lucky, you might even spot some climbers making their way up the rock.
Bridalveil Falls is the park's very own waterfall diva. It's one of the most photographed waterfalls in Yosemite, and for good reason!
